Super Bowl Recap

Who doesn't like watching the Super Bowl? No one. Everyone likes it. That's why it is one of the most popular events each year. It doesn't matter if you are someone who watches it for the game, the halftime show, or even just for the funny commercials--it is an extremely enjoyable event.

This year's Super Bowl was very different than many of the games in previous years. The Chiefs and Buccaneers each had a couple of three-and-outs that resulted in punts in their opening drives and the Chiefs found a way to strike first with a Harrison Butker field goal. Brady, being Brady, responded to that. He methodically marched his way down the field to throw a screen pass touchdown to longtime teammate, Rob Gronkowski. At the end of the first quarter, the Buccs led by 4.

The second quarter started off with another touchdown pass from Brady to Gronk. (Maybe from a little past history and chemistry?) Then the Chiefs had a few more punts and Brady had the ball once again in a goal-to-go situation. Brady had Antonio Brown to the right of him and right when he snapped the ball, Brady fired a pass at Brown's feet, only where he could catch it, and this resulted in a another touchdown.

The Buccaneers were up 21-3. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs quarterback, did end up leading his team down the field to narrow the deficit a little bit with another Harrison Butker field goal, but the Buccs led by Tom Brady were just one half away from bringing the Lombardi Trophy home.

The third quarter was much of the same. The Chiefs couldn't do anything on offense and their defense was lacking. Leonard Fournette, Buccaneers running back, rushed for a 20+ yard touchdown to further the gap to 22. At the end of three, the score was 31-9.

Nothing all that exciting happened in the fourth quarter. The Buccs just tried to wind the clock down as much as they could and succeeded. No one ended up scoring during the period and the Buccaneers won by a score of 31-9. The Lombardi was headed to the Bay!

Wow, I never thought that I'd be saying that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the Super Bowl champions. Live and learn!
