The Voice in Your Head

There are just some people who care so much about others. I have always had one special baseball coach who coaches and cares about me. He played college baseball and was the MVP of his college all-star game, so I might have a few things to learn from him. He always teaches me life lessons and baseball lessons. I've learned a lot from him, both life-wise and baseball-wise. When we are together it looks like we're having a lesson (and we are) but he always manages to make the lessons about more than baseball.

I've been taking lessons with him for maybe four years now, and he still preaches the same thing--the importance of confidence.

Confidence is a little voice in your head that tells you that you can do something. It is truly one of the most important life lessons there is and everyone should learn it. If you really think that you can achieve something and you put your mind to it, you can do it. It doesn't matter if the thing is about becoming an astronaut or getting an A on your math test; confidence can get you anywhere.

This is what a special coach taught me and something I think about a lot whenever I face a challenge.
