Lions and Rams swap QBs

There's been a lot of chaos during this past week of the NFL season. First, there are the rumors of Carson Wentz going to the Bears for Nick Foles, and this is the week of the Super Bowl! There was already one major trade between the Lions and the Rams. There's a lot going on!

The Lions acquired QB Jared Goff, two first-round draft picks, and a third-round pick. Jared Goff, just two years off leading a team to a Super Bowl appearance, has had a poor season. He was injured for a part of it and never seemed to hit his stride in time for the playoffs. The Rams ended up losing in the divisional round to the Green Bay Packers with a score of 32-18. They didn't look right all game. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams had a field day against the Rams defense, connecting for a few spectacular catches and a touchdown. Hopefully, Jared Goff has a bounceback season with the Lions and can do better than what Stafford did in the past few years.

The Rams received QB Matthew Stafford in the blockbuster trade. Stafford hasn't been to the playoffs that many times in his career but has always put up great numbers. This past year, his number one target, Kenny Golladay, was sidelined for much of the year with a strained hip flexor muscle. This left Stafford with little to rely on other than receiver Marvin Jones and tight end T.J. Hockenson. Stafford has the ability to fire a ball down the field at all times. This is one of the reasons that he is valued so highly and the Rams had to give up so many great picks to acquire him. He has a powerful arm and is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL

Both of these quarterbacks have so much talent and it will be a treat to get to see them in new places next year!
