2020 has been the year of uncertainty and that applies to more than just sports. Even though the Coronavirus has made many of us halt our lives, most professional sports were played. We counted on watching them while we were all stuck at home and for die-hard sports fans, we needed sports to maintain some sense of normalcy.
There have been many major sporting highlights this year, and I am going to write about what I think were the two best. These were the NBA Finals and The World Series.
The NBA Finals kicked off with a Los Angeles Lakers win and concluded with one, too. Lebron got his fourth ring (!) and proved that he is only getting better with age. In his first season of getting to play with Anthony Davis, the Lakers have already benefited. Lebron and AD just might be the best dynamic duo in the whole league.
The World Series wrapped up a little while ago with the Los Angeles Dodgers winning 3-1 over the Tampa Bay Rays in game six. Victor Gonzalez got the win for the Dodgers. The Dodgers finally achieved what they were one step away from in three of the past four years. Dodger fans should be ecstatic. Los Angeles was a pretty lucky place this year--at least in sports. COVID is another story.
I don't know what fans would have done without these two important sporting events this year. I loved watching each and every moment of these amazing competitions. Hopefully, there will be this much drama next year, but with fans in the stands.
